let go of the memories...

I let go of my memories.
I gave up without fighting, I let them slip into the water
that buried them forever, a liquid and transparent blanket,
through which I can still see them,
but I can no longer reach them...
I left my memories in a beautiful place,
because at least they can enjoy the comfort
that the sight of so much beauty can give...
I left my memories, but not my heart,
because the heart's memory is indelible
